A poker roguelike
Paddlewheel
Take a seat in the card salon of a paddle steamer, 1890. Play poker hands for points, hire a crew of Jokers who bend the rules, and outscore every rival table between here and the delta.
Free to try. One purchase unlocks the full game: no ads, no subscriptions, no energy timers.
How a run plays
Score poker hands
Every hand, from a high card to a straight flush, scores chips times multiplier. Beat each table's target before you run out of hands and discards.
Hire your crew
150 Jokers, each a riverboat character with a rule of their own. Stack them so one hand sets off a chain of bonuses.
Shape your deck
Buy, change and remove cards between tables. Level up hand types, add special cards, and turn a plain deck into a machine.
Eight antes up river
Each ante ends at a boss table with a twist of its own: 28 of them. Win ante eight to finish the run, then keep going in Endless.
Plenty to unlock
15 decks, 8 stake levels and 20 challenge runs, opened by playing. No two runs deal out the same.
Plays anywhere
Hand-made pixel art, crisp on every screen. No account and no connection needed: play on a plane, a train or a riverboat.
On deck
Free to try, fair to buy
The free game includes three decks on the first stake, with the same Jokers and boss tables to discover. A single one-time purchase opens the other decks, the higher stakes, the challenge runs and Endless mode. Your progress carries over.
Paddlewheel is a card game for fun. There is no real-money gambling: nothing can be wagered, won or cashed out.
